Paniyiri Greek Festival

The Paniyiri Greek Festival is an annual kaleidoscopic cultural explosion with over 50,000 Greeks and honorary Greeks flocking to Musgrave Park, South Brisbane for this magnetic festival. More than 30 food stalls will showcase the tastes, recipes and secrets of food from all corners of Greece. Events and attractions will include Zorba dancing, plate smashing, honey puff eating and lots of other delicious Greek delicacies.

Visitors can also enjoy entertainment on the main stage, including the famous Zorba, Kalamatiano, Sirto and Sousta dances performed to live traditional Greek music performed on traditional Greek instruments including the bouzouki, tarabuka, lira and laouto.

The festival will host over 20 hours of entertainment over the weekend, and will be a hive of activity with the popular traditional Greek cooking demonstrations. Come along and enjoy comedic performances, olive, honey puff eating and grape stomping competitions as well as fairground rides and a sideshow alley. Paniyiri is guaranteed to excite and entertain families all over Brisbane and South-East Queensland.
